This link will take you directly to the CIS Website where you may check the average processing times on various types of cases. Please be sure you know the number of the main government form number used to file your case (ie, I-485, I-129 H-1B, I-765). Please click here.
- Processing Time of Case with U.S. DOL or SWA
As of October 2007, all old Labor Certifications which were pending under the LC RIR system were cleared from the backlog. If you think you still have a pending case, please contact us so that we can work with DOL or your old law firm to ascertain the problem or help find a missing case. Under the new 2007 rules, an approved Labor Certification requires that the employer file a corresponding I-140 Immigration petition for the foreign national within 180 days of the approval date on the Labor Certification. The current system being used for filing Labor Certifications is called PERM and involves a complex on-line filing with similar legal but logistically different recruitment and filing requirements.
- Case Status Portfolio with Updates via Email
USCIS Customers (single applicant) and Representatives (representing many cases, such as lawyers, charitable groups, or corporations) who require regular access to status information about multiple cases can create an account to more conveniently access this information. The services provided are identical, except Representatives may also enter their own internal office tracking number with each receipt number. In addition, you can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email.
